Bloody hell, Harry was looking at him with that same smirk he did when they were at Hogwarts together. There was this very… kind twist to his smirk though. If Draco didn’t know better, he’d say that Harry was actually happy to see him.
“Been a while.” Draco murmured, shoving past Harry into the kitchen. Handle his firewhiskey, indeed.
“Yeah, it has.” Harry paused. “But you haven’t let me tell you happy birthday properly, Draco.”
Draco turned and saw a look of complete seriousness on Harry’s face. Before he could smirk or react, Harry pushed himself into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around Draco’s neck, nuzzling his nose into the sweater he had made fun of moments ago.
“I’ve mifffhhhh yooo-” Harry muttered into the cotton on Draco’s neck.
“I’ve missed you.” Harry said, picking his face out of Draco’s shoulder before squeezing him tighter.
“I’ve- I’ve missed you too, Potter.”
Draco patted Harry once on the back and started to back away before he paused, lifting his arms out of his pockets and hugging Harry around the waist and planting a quick kiss on his neck.
“Now, then-” Harry started, blushing. “Your birthday.”
“Yeah, Potter. What have you managed to throw together in this shack of a place?”
Harry said nothing, but winked at Draco and grabbed his hand. “Come with me.”
Harry all but dragged Draco up the stairs, before stopping at his bedroom.
“Harry, this didn’t work very well last time-” Draco said, before Harry shushed him.
Draco stepped inside the all-too familiar bedroom and looked around, puzzled.
“You’ve… uh. You’ve renovated. Your bed is bigger and there are two… there are two closets. It looks nice.”
“I want you to live with me, Draco.”
Draco sputtered out a sip he’d taken from his firewhiskey before whipping around to look at Harry.
“Well, admit it, you’re miserable living with Pansy and you love me deep inside that black, shriveled heart.”
“No, I don’t, Harry.”
“Yes, you do.” Harry said, grabbing Draco by the back of the neck and staring at him. “You do. You always have. You told me so after The Battle.”
Harry cut him off with a kiss, which Draco avoided, then melted into.
